Chausettaz and Sort alpine pastures, from Chanavey
Description
At the Chanevey car park next to the chairlift arrival station, take the ski slope that begins to climb steeply through the forest. On the way up, take care to spot the markers and arrows indicating the start of the path to the left. The path initially continues to climb parallel to the ski slope, then moves away and loses its slope. We continue to climb until we come out of the posco and the path bends sharply to the left, coming in sight of the Chausettaz alpine pasture. We reach the building and just before it is the junction with path no. 7, turn right and make the traverse on a false-flat and with slight ascents until we reach the Sort hut. Pass in front of the building and turn left, beginning to enter the Sort valley, past a wooded area you enter the desolate valley and following the path you approach the watershed with the Entrelor valley, which you climb up following the obvious path until you reach the remains of the Sort alpine pastureland.
